My name is Jamie Mitchell, and I  know sunglasses.  I grew up in  Ottawa,  Ontario Canada where my father, a long time  industry veteran owned and  operated an  optical laboratory along with several  retail stores across the country.  

As a child, I grew up spending lots of  time at my father's lab where  thousands of lenses  were surfaced, edged and tinted to  make prescription glasses every day.   down to me.  

That's where my father's  passion for the industry was passed 

Over the   years, a lot of changes have  happened and that's where I have a  problem.   

One major corporation in the eyewear and sunglasses industry owns almost 80% of  the market, meaning they control everything. They own optometry chains,  the   biggest brands, along with one of the biggest vision care insurance  companies.  

This allows them  to charge unfair prices and  monopolize the industry.  From   this issue, Mitchell Made was born.  

We are passionate about building the              highest quality sunglasses and  eyewear business in the industry with the best  prices. We chose quality and comfort over  designer price tags, plain and simple. 

The online store has been designed  with the same idea as our sunglasses - to  simplicity. Since we’ve avoided the  awkward showroom experience, we  also  have a lower cost structure.  We  believe you will find our pricing fair  and  affordable.
